• Week 1 [unit]

    1. Read Isaiah 1- 6 and the pages covering the introduction through Isaiah six in the textbook (pages 13-80). Write one sentence for the reading report, “I read 100 percent (or whatever percentage you read) for this week’s reading assignment.” Post in Reading by 11:30 pm on Sunday.
    2. The quiz will be posted on Thursdays and will need to be taken on Sunday before 11:30 pm. The quiz will be based on the reading and lectures.
    3. The Discussion Forum question would be based on the video lectures. The original post of 150 words due Thursday. On the second post of 150 words, your comment on another student's post is due by 11:30 pm on Sunday. The Discussion Forum question is: Why is it important to consistently interpret first coming prophecies (Isa 7:14) as well as second coming propheices (Isa 11:6-10) with a literal hermeneutic?
    4. Students will be graded on listening to the recorded lectures by the professor, writing a one-page summary of the lectures and posting in Participation. Students can use bullet points for the one page of notes and will need to be posted on Sunday before 11:30 pm. The notes will help prepare for the weekly quiz.
    5. For the sermon, turn in the Main Point of Text and main divisions under Paper.
