Focus: Students will learn the goals of the Seminar Project, review the basic steps of the research/project process, and select an interdisciplinary topic to serve as the foundation for their final project. Students will begin to make explicit connections among their major, general education/core coursework, and life/career goals.

Focus: Students will learn how to find reliable sources across multiple disciplines using library databases and other scholarly tools. They will distinguish between academic, professional, and popular sources and begin to assemble an interdisciplinary foundation for their project.

Focus: Students will create a working outline for their Seminar Project that makes explicit connections among the disciplines involved, the issue being studied, and the application to life and vocation. They will begin to articulate how knowledge from multiple courses and experiences comes together into one coherent project.

Focus: Students will write and plan the initial major section of their project by reviewing and synthesizing their research. They will practice organizing ideas into themes that span disciplines and highlight where perspectives overlap or differ.

Focus: Students will strengthen their thesis or guiding claim, connect evidence from multiple disciplines to their argument, and articulate clear applications to real-world contexts. They will also practice polished academic writing in APA format appropriate for a culminating undergraduate project.

Focus: Students will learn how to communicate their Seminar Project clearly and professionally to a non-specialist audience. They will prepare a brief presentation that links their research, interdisciplinary insights, and practical applications.

Focus: Students will finalize their Seminar Project and reflect on the learning, skills, and habits they have developed throughout their undergraduate experience. The emphasis is on integration, application, and a forward-looking plan for life-long education.
