Description
This course will introduce students to the interaction between the immigration system and criminal
justice. In recent years, the escalation in immigration law enforcement actions has resulted in a growing
number of immigrants in custody. This course examines the legal, human rights, and social dimensions
of incarcerating those who violate immigration laws, and the broader implications for American justice.
