Brief Bio: Hello all! I am Dr. Murchtricia Jones. The Director of Data Science and Chair of the School of Computing, Applied Sciences, and Engineering. I am so excited to be a part of your educational journey. 

I am a wife and mother of two. I am from St. Croix, USVI, a beautiful Caribbean island. I can be bribed with high-quality chocolate, oxtails, and jollof rice. Haha!

Description

This course will cover a variety of topics in statistics including data collection methods, measures of central
tendency and spread, the relation between two variables, conditional/joint/marginal probabilities,
probability distributions, statistical inference, point estimates, confidence intervals, significance testing,
goodness-of-fit test, various two-sample tests, Bayesian statistics, Bayes theorem, conjugate priors, posterior
distributions, credible intervals, A/B testing, logistic regression.
