Brief Bio: Hello all! I am Dr. Murchtricia Jones. The Director of Data Science and Chair of the School of Computing, Applied Sciences, and Engineering. I am so excited to be a part of your educational journey. 

I am a wife and mother of two. I am from St. Croix, USVI, a beautiful Caribbean island. I can be bribed with high-quality chocolate, oxtails, and jollof rice. Haha!

Description

Overview of theory and practice of EM algorithm, bootstrap method, Monte Carlo simulation, density estimation, and MCMC. Other popular Data Science algorithms including k-NN, naïve Bayes, decision trees, random forests, SVM and k-means will be covered with hands-on examples.
