Happy 2nd day of June! 🌺 Welcome to Organizational Communication!!  I am happy you are here!  I am your professor, Dr. Kordilia Noble. I go by Dr. K for short. 😀

Please review the syllabus and course page for important information.  A couple of notes as we move forward starting 6/24/24:

    1. All of your resources are provided in this LMS: assignments, videos, readings, templates, rubrics, etc.
    2. Each week, you will have at least 1 DQ due and a writing assignment. I expect quality, scholarly writing.
    3. Please post your initial response to the DQ by Wednesday at 11:59pm.
    4. Please respond to 2 of your classmates by Sunday at 11:59pm. Note that your responses need to be 150-250 words, using APA and at least 3 references.
    5. Use GRAMMARLY as a great resource to check your paper before submission. Misspellings and inaccurate format, etc. will result in a reduction in points.
    6. However, donot use GRAMMARLY or AI to develop your paper content.  This will result in an automatic ZERO points for your assignment.
    7. You will submit all of your papers through Turnitin to maintain integrity of your works.
    8. Late work will result in a reduction of points.
    9. Lastly, don't fret...I have been where you are so I know what it is like.  I'm not a hard task master at all so I'm sure we will get along fine.  I am here to help you be successful. Communication is key! Completing the assignments are key.  A positive mindset is key!
    10. For any questions, please donot hesitate to reach out to me via email at noblek@carolinau.edu.

    Synthesis Example 1

Here's a great example of a literature synthesis that you might find helpful. The writer begins with a clear topic sentence that presents their argument. They then skillfully weave together multiple sources to support their argument before providing a smooth transition to the next paragraph.
