Before joining the faculty of Piedmont International University in 2015, I was a missionary in France (1989-2001), received a PhD from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (2001-2005), where I also taught as an adjunct professor. I also have taught online at Tennessee Temple University (2006-2015), at Liberty University (since 2009), and Luther Rice College and Seminary (2012-2021).

My areas of interests are Missions, Christian Education, and Biblical Studies. My research specialization is qualitative research, and I have held local church, mission agency, and seminary leadership positions.

I am married to Trudy. We have three adult children, two children-in-laws, and one grandson.

Description

This course is designed to survey challenges and approaches to discipling the adult members of a local church in light of the Great Commission. Attention will be given to the biblical imperative of discipling adults, the lifespan development of male and female adults, educational theories for discipling adults, and the practical application of these in a local church setting.
