Ahmad completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2022. During his academic career, Ahmad received sevaral excellence awards, scholarships, and research grants for outstanding research performance. His research focused on the development of advanced microfabrication platforms using hydrogel-based materials. He pioneered the fabrication of 3D conical microwell arrays through a novel one-step process, enabling the efficient generation of cancer spheroids for biomedical applications.

Ahmad’s work integrates microfabrication techniques with biomaterial engineering to enhance 3D cell culture systems for drug screening and cancer research. His research aims to improve the physiological relevance of in vitro tumor models to support the development of more effective and personalized therapies. Ahmad credits the unwavering support of his family—especially his wife for helping him succeed.

Outside of his academic work, Ahmad enjoys camping and spending time in nature, often exploring new trails with his wife. He is also a coffee lover and enjoys drinking coffee while watching cricket game.
