Description
A survey of traditional and contemporary literature for children and young adults, focusing on the distinctiveness of the various genres. Attention will be given to strategies of using literature as a tool for a comprehensive and ongoing program of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Participants will explore and evaluate various texts for such things as age-appropriateness, curricular fit, and worldview.
